It fixes a lack of money. 😛 Seriously though, donating money to disaster relief does help. I heard the Red Cross ask for money rather than goods when FL was hit by the hurricanes last summer.

regarding Leo DiCaprio, i don't think it's about being in the spotlight. he genuinely cares about the environment (drives a prius) and i think he genuinely cares about the region because he filmed "the beach" in thailand.
