But only for a week :(

I'm going to be at a spa in Flagler early next week. Where's Ormond? I should probably know, being a life-long native, but I can't place it right now.

Ormond is just north of Daytona. My fiancee went to school in Deland just west of there.

Ah, thanks aphex. I figured it wasn't on this side!

The Mister and I usually head up to St Augustine to celebrate our anniversary, but this year we decided to stay at the White Orchid at Flagler Beach and just drive up to St Augustine during the day. There's a great restaurant/small brewery he loves up there... A1A I think it's called.

One thing I love about Florida is that even if you live here, you can still have your vacations here and enjoy them just the same.

The Mister has family up in Greensboro (inland). Aint nuthin to do up there 'cept go mud boggin!

There is a very nice park called St Joseph's Peninsula State Park, with very nice cabins you can rent. No night life around there that I've ever heard of!

My friend who used to live near me just moved to Palm Coast. It's near Ormond Beach. That place is definitely not the Florida I'm used to, but cool for a few days nonetheless. One thing weird I noticed is that the sand on the beach there was dark orange.

About 20 min. south of Flagler.

My dad and sister are heading down there tomorrow afternoon. I get the 2nd half of my dad's two-week timeshare. :)

thats from all the crab droppings. basically the crabs eat the shell fish...cant digest the shells...so that comes out in sand form.

this is what i was told by a native who I happened to chat up with while on the beach
