My DSL company is going out of business so I have to go through SWBell, and of course they will have a 9 business day delay, so that means around 9 days without DSL! That is VERY hard going from high speed to LOW speed! They also use PPP! :( And the service I use now doesn't... PPP is networkable through my 4-port SMC router, correct?

PPP should network just fine...

Does your DSL "modem" run NAT, or is it not a router? The ideal situation would be to pass your external IP directly to your SMC router, but if your CPE doesn't allow that you may have trouble. If that's the case, I would look into opening up all ports through NAT to get as close as possible to that.

PPPoE is easily networkable, especially through a router. There are many way, and if you have 2000 or ME then ICS (internet connection sharing) will work fine. been there, done that.
