I'm pissed off at FedEx!

I ordered some products overnight from Newegg that were to be delivered Friday. I have a signature release waiver on file because I work during the day(like most of the U.S.!) and FedEx always leaves my packages on the back porch. Yesterday when I came home at lunch to check if my packages had arrived I have a note from FedEx on my door saying they couldn't deliver because I was not home. It also said there was no release waiver on file! I call FedEx about 30 minutes after the failed delivery attempt and the support lady was friendly and helpful and said there was a mistake and that she would contact the courier and have him re-deliver and leave my packages on the back porch. Well guess what? I arrive home later that evening and find no packages. I'm furious at this point and call FedEx and they say a 2nd delivery attempt was not able to be made and suggested I pick up the packages on Sat. I paid a crap load of money to have those items overnighted as I needed them this weekend. What recourse do I have and what should I do?

Bite the bullet and pick them up today. Make sure the card is on file while you are there.

Newegg might. I had this happen to me before and Fedex was no help.

I have never had a problem with FedEx in the past and I will not buy from any retailer that ships with UPS(brown hasn't done sh**t for me!) as I can't stand their delivery policies.

Stop whining. Go pick up the packages today, it's only one day later. If you really needed them that bad yesterday, you should have made sure you were home to receive them.

I hate A$$hats who don't read and people who are insensitive. He has a signed waver that allows them to drop at the door. This is FedEx fault. They also missed a 2nd attempted delivery.

Stop whining!? I think I have a legit complaint. Are we not to hold people responsible for their screw ups? I will have to pick the packages up today as there is no other option but at my trouble and expense.

Ignore the idiot. GL Getting your package. oldsmoboat made a good point of checking your waver at the place. While I was there I would talk to a supervisor and explain your situation.

Yeah, Fedex and UPS suck...got a monitor delivered from each courier this past week. the 21" had a big crack in the casing and the 18" lcd had an indention on the stand from something hitting the box.

and UPS doesn't deliver on said date until 8PM!

This is Fedex's problem...if he wanted it in two days, he would've requested two day service....NOT overnight. With a waiver on file, there's no excuse for a failed delivery -- especially not twice in a row!

IMHO, Fedex should refund the shipping cost. Do they have a guaranteed overnight service? If so, you have a bit to argue with..

Yes, Fedex screwed up. It happens. But what kind of "recourse" do you think there's gonna be? You want to sue Fedex now for all your pain and suffering? So you get your packages a day late and have to pick them up. It's not something to make a federal case about. There's much more important things going on in the world.

Hey Oldsmoboat, I got news for ya. Most of us don't sit around thinking about our Anandtech rating. I couldn't give a flying f*** what my AT rating is.

I think about mine so little that it's not enabled.

Edit
I see you disabled your profile.

After checking their website it looks like I'm entitled to a refund of my shipping charges but I'm sure I'll have to go through hoops to get it though. I'm off to raise a little hell now and thanks for the timely responses.

Good Luck. Big Business hates to give money back  Hopefully they will treat your right. Please let us know what the outcome is.
