I just installed a Netgear (MA111) wireless USB adapter to my computer. The indicator shows "Excellent" signal. I can log onto AIM, MSN messenger, Weatherbug, etc. but for some odd reason when I use IE or Firefox to browse the web, none of the pages work. When i use IE i get the "Page cannot be displayed" error. When i use mozilla, the page turns up blank.

Here's the twist: sometimes, after pressing refresh numerous times, i can get a page to load. when the page loads, the browser lets me navigate through a couple more pages, then a minute or two later, the page goes blank and the status bar indicates "Done." Totally random.

is it a network problem here? or a problem with my browsers? i still find it odd that pages load at random times.

any help would greatly be appreciated.

EDIT: I used Xp to repair wireless connection, which temporarily alleviated the problem. I could browse through the web. After a minute or so, the problem persists. I ran the repair wireless connection again, and for a minute or two, i could browse the web.

Clear your cache on your browser. And double check your DNS settings for starters.

If you have weatherbug installed, you most have spyware too. Download winsock xp fix and run it.

IF you have a DSL/cable modem, try power cycling it -- sometimes the modems lose synchrinzation with the ISP.
