I had this same damn problem and it was a line issue. Some line technician came, changed a few connectors, did something w/ his little line tester and now everything works fine.

and i finally got the tech to send someone out here. but unfortunately they can't until tuesday because they don't work on sundays or mondays. blahhhhhhh. it sucks not having high speed access.

actually it was tier1 but i swear it was the same guy i talked to the first time when i was trying to get my internet connection working (a couple of weeks ago or whatever) and at that time he was tier2! i'm like 99% sure it was teh same guy cuz they have this weird voice that i recognized.

Tier one won't do sweet-F-all. They will recycle your modem and .. well.. thats about it.. Tier 2 does most the work.. and the "specialists" are at tier 3.
