im on a 17inch lcd imac.... and all i can say is wow.... the most beautiful interface ever... easy to use.... awesome lcd screen... too bad they suck for gaming! but it would be a nice comp to chat/surf web with!

yeah me too.... i was just on apples website looking at prices for the imacs, powerbooks, and ibooks.... damn expenive for what you get. if they dropped the prices to something more reasonable i would definately get one!

apple makes hardware, they arent in the business of software. only reason they dabble there is to make stuff specifically for apple hardware.

I don't think they "dabble" in software. They make some of the best and most intuitive software out there.

With an Apple computer, you don't just get an OS on their hardware. You get awesome applications too.

Anyways, I wish the LCD rotated on the new iMacs, so you could go portrait mode. It just looks like it should, but it doesn't. Pisses me off.

As a linux admin, I am a huge fan of Apple and OS X.

As a linux admin, I am a huge fan of Apple and OS X.

i've tried apple. i cant stand it.

i dont know, windows seems intuitively easy to me. i couldnt imagine downgrading myself to an apple. for the tasks he described, i'll admit it is probably easier than windows, but i would definitely rather work on a windows machine. much more flexibility.
