I'm not sure with how to connect a third (if possible) SATA hard-drive on my Mother-board...

I've got 2 drives currently connected to my PC, a 74Gb Raptor connected to SATA 1 and a 200Gb drive connected to SATA 2. I wanna fit another SATA drive if possible rather than IDE. I have 4 free SATA connectors on my board but am unsure if I can use these, not sure if they are for RAID. Do I just connect SATA drive connector to SATA 3 on m/b?

Another question regarding a bios setting for my hard-drives. I've been running my current set-up for almost a year now and in the bios I've always had selected Onboard SATA and only yesterday found out I should have it set to OnChip SATA RAID with both my drives on 1 & 2 SATA. Would there be a huge difference in performance with this setting change???

You should be able to use the thrid (and fourth) SATA connector for "single" drives. You may have to create a RAID array in the RAID controller's BIOS that is only one drive in size. I cannot imagine that you would see any difference in drive performance.
