i find it easier to just use a bot. if i want to register somewhere i just leave it on overnight. cant be bothered to fight with the captchas over whether im supposed to see an L or a deformed V.
 
captchas usually have one garbled word and one clear word.
you usually only have to enter the clear word correctly. the garbled word can be whatever.
