Jebus I feel like cutting myself and crying myself to sleep... Just like every Tuesday night...

On a serious note, the lyrics are excellent and the tempo of the track really adds to the power of the lyrics.

This song feels like a divorce.

I?m no music critic but you asked so here goes.

The tempo is too slow, it was putting me to sleep. The shrill voice of the singer is trying to mimic the shrill voice of just about every other lead singer in any band the last 10 years. More of the same.

Too much "dead space" in-between the verses, if you can call them that. A long bass line (5-6 seconds) is not an appropriate transition into a new verse, I don't care how depressing they are trying to be. Maybe speed it up a little and shorten the play time a little. The song is 3:55 and could easily be 3:00.

Sorry if that's harsh. Ugh. No more. It sucked, badly.

Hmm... The leader singer's voice doesn't sound shrill at all to me.

I agree the tempo is slow but it adds to the direness of the situation. There is a slight up-tempo in the middle as if things would work out and then boom... back to the dreadful feeling you get when you know shit can't be fixed.

But to each their own...

I wish he'd get back to collaborating with DNTEL for another Postal Service album... the new DCFC hasn't really grown on me at all

I guess you're not much for jazz, blues, or classical music then, huh? Or musicals or opera...
