This guy isn't an introvert. It comes off like he's making fun of introverts, IMO. Reminds me of the episode of South Park where Cartman starts saying he has Tourette's so he can get around with swearing.Introvert here as well that really hates small talk. I'm a bit selfish on what I like to talk about, mostly if it doesn't include science or computers I don't want to hear about it.
Again, again, again, the author is NOT making fun of introverts, he's making fun of ASSHOLES who pretend they're introverts to cover their . . . assholery. This guy isn't an introvert. Has OT fallen this low that so many of you don't effing get this?
I don't think this guy is actually an introvert, it doesn't really sound like an introvert anyhow.
do you actually think any of us read the article?
I read it. It falls pretty flat as humor, and definitely reads like someone who disapproves of behavior that introverts engage in and "justify" as their introverted nature, and then takes it to hyperbolic levels to justify assholish behavior.Again, again, again, the author is NOT making fun of introverts, he's making fun of ASSHOLES who pretend they're introverts to cover their . . . assholery.

He isn't. Read the many replies I've had to post. IT'S A HUMOR ARTICLE. The guy is an ASSHOLE who's pretending he's an introvert as a cover for his assholery.

Is covering up one's assholery by hand-waving "introvert!" even a real thing?
I don't get it. I didn't think the article was "real", it was clearly "humor", it can be shitty humor and still mean-spirited, you know. You appear to be laboring under the misconception that I thought it was a cereal article.

Every time I open a soda, it says "SHHH!" telling me to be quiet.
That video got blasted in the comments for "missing the point."I know this is making fun of "introverts" but I have to ask.... do you even know what an introvert is?
*Hint* It has very little to do with overall social interaction capabilities.

I always thought I was an introvert. I do not seek or need social interaction to be happy. But maybe that is not what an introvert is.
Further more, I'll strike up a conversation with anyone without hesitation.
Introvert vs. Extrovert is incredibly misconstrued.
It's not about social capabilities or desires, so much as what social interactions does to you. An introvert in a large crowd of people (club, crowded party, crowded workplace) gets drained of energy simply from being around other people. An extrovert is the opposite. Being around people actually gives them energy.
Has very little or nothing to do with striking up a conversation or conversing in general. I love going to pubs where there are fellow geeks like myself that aren't crowded with people all around me.
