I was driving behind an EON van today (EON is a UK energy company) with professionally printed messaging on the back saying, "This vehicle's replacement will be 100% electric" (or words to that effect). I have two problems with this message:
1 - The vehicle's number plate (and so therefore its date of manufacture) was 24.
2 - The vehicle wasn't even a hybrid.
Translation: We couldn't be bothered to invest in a cleaner fuel engine this time but maybe we'll do it next time. Maybe.
