There is something wrong with me. Normally, I'm more sober than normal. My inhibitions are stronger than they should be, and normal conversation and such is difficult.

As a result, after 1-2 drinks I'm not even slightly drunk- I'm just NORMAL. Of course if I drink a ton of alcohol I become drunk like anyone else, I just seem to require a couple drinks to reach the normal level of sobriety of a normal person.

Anyone else feel like they are similar?

edit: maybe I should just drink alcohol with every meal to remain relatively normal, good idea no?

You have an anxiety disorder, taking something like benzodiazepens is what would be recommended, that sort of drugs are way more socially acceptable for this issue (although IMO no better for you than alcohol)

benzos are highly addictive and you can't use them daily usually because they start to lose effectiveness (and lead to benzo withdrawal). and alcohol makes anxiety worse (the day after). SSRIs helped me.

yeah I guess that's what you need, i don't know anything about these things. Took benzos in college some "recreationally", they are nice, but seemed all they did was make me not care about stuff (so, that way you won't care about what people think of you.)

yeah, they work on the same receptors that alcohol does. they use benzos to stop alcohol withdrawal. they make me depressed though.
