Im new to SETI ...going to give this place my support...spend most of my time here so why not =)

i joined the anantech team....how can i be sure what i am doing is counting towards us? also, read that you can "tweak" your settings...how?

The easiest way to check that you have joined the TeAm is to wait for tomorows stats where you should show up as a new member.

As for optimisation, make sure you are running the Cli and if overclocking max out your FSB and memory timings.

Nice to have u onboard 😀

Welcome! 🙂
GUI is the screen saver version. When you click your seti icon does the screen saver pop up with back background and all the graphs and colors? That's GUI. If you have the GUI and want to uninstall that and download the CLI as mentioned above, it crunches faster.

ok...it seems i have the screen saver one.....but when i go to the CLI page..well that is what i did when i installed what i am using.. yeah i clicked on the link and dap asks if i want to dl it again...so i assume i am running the correct one, but it sounds like the screen saver one

When you hover your mouse over it's icon in the system tray does it say "SETI Driver - ....."? If so then you have the CLI, if not you have the GUI.

Welcome!🙂

I would replace the GUI with the CLI. Uninstall your GUI and follow intructions in Team AnandTech SETI link. You might want to consider using SETI Driver as well.🙂

woohoo!!! Another pc assimiliated!!! Another step closer to number ONE!!! 😀

BTW, welcome aboard!!! 🙂

<< i have 2 icons...one is blue, the seti driver.....the other is green, "seti@home client task" >>

Ah...kill off the green one and remove it from your Startup folder. Just leave Setidriver in the startup folder.

And....crunch on!
