I'm nervous as hell

I have to make a presentation in a few days to the board members of a very large corporation. I'm terrible in front of crowds. I know they're not a "crowd" per se, but I'm still nervous that I'll be nervous. 😕

Personally, that never worked for me I would always start laughing or staring at the hot girl in the back of my speech class. heh...

Practice practice practice!!!

If yu have to give any kind of public speaking address... it will flow a lot easier if you practically know it by heart, no matter how nervous you are.

Also, have sex beforehand.

Ask them to imagine you in your underwear.

They probably will be doing that anyway. 😉
:Q Just what the hell kind of place do you work for anyway?

😛
I don't work for anyone, it's just me and a partner. This could be a pretty big break for us if it works out.

Just make sure you know your material. That will give you more confidence than anything else. I have done a ton of presentations over the years, and the only times I have gotten into trouble was when I didn't spend enough time making sure I was comfortable with the material to be presented.

go choke the chicken in the restroom before the presentation.

but seriously, don't stare at your powerpoint when you're speaking. always look at your audience. you can always practice in front of your cowokers.

I speak much better than I write and have had to give several presentations in front of
large groups of ppl.
A tip was offered that worked very well for me. This is what I was told.

Do not speak to or make eye contact with all present. Speak only to the most receptive
listeners, the others are just over hearing your conversation. Finding rejection in the eyes
of some that are present and trying to win them over will de-rail what you have to offer.

My little bit...Good luck.

Thats it, get yourself all worked up a couple days in advance so the anxiety will take hold of you:thumbsup:
