background: I'm a highschooler who's been out of a job since jan 2003, and been trying desperately ever since then to get one.

so today I walked into this place that had a message in the school bulletin and basically 4mins later they said "you're hired!"
on top of that, it's the best job in the world:
it's this little place in a neat circa 1900 house downtown, and it's totally cool and fun inside
all the people there are super fun and smart and cool, and two of my friends work there
it's an office job but I get to do fun stuff too
copying, operating this awesome bulk cd-writer machine, and a bunch of video equipment, filing stuff, answering phones, and researching stuff on the web
$7/hr and according to them I can "work any hours I want" (from 8-5:30 M-F)

Are you still in high school or are you graduated?

If you're still in school, isn't school from like 8-3:30 or something like that? Won't you only get a few hours? 😕

yeah, I'm in school, so I'll work 9hrs/ week

that's pretty good for being in highschool and having a job I'll LOVE. most people just get a hellish food job. believe me I've been there.

9 hours a week is nothing, I used to work 26-30 hrs a week when I was in high school
