I used to be an AMD fan, but the performance was just not there so I converted to Intel, but now that AMD is on top of their game, so I want to go back.

Question: What is the best MB for the AMD CPU's? Socket A's only. I will be overclocking, so those features are a must. Stability is also of importance. If you look at my rig (the P3 one), how much of that stuff will be compatable with the AMD MB's? (Hopefully all of it.)

I, and many others, have had fantastic success with the MSI K7T Pro2a. However, the 133a motherboards are coming in, so I'd wait for a review of the K7T Turbo (retail edition, not prerelease) before making ANY motherboard choices. At least, that's what I'm doing.

that being said, check out some AMD websites, because installing an AMD system is a bit different than a P3 system. a lot of people are having problems because they're "converting", and trying to use the same "rules" in installation, and fu#king everything up.

all your hardware should be compatible.

The A7V133 is also a excellent choice. I own one now, and it rocks.

I had a KT7A-RAID...had a few problems. Switched to a A7V133...totally perfect and stable.

I was thinking Asus since I have had good luck with them in the past and present. Thanks for the info.
