Im looking for the USB data cable for the LG VX8100

what do you need it for? Verizon doesn't let you customize your phone via usb cable.

so that i can transfer pictures, audio, ringtone from my PC to phone without going thur verizon.

i did it with my older VX4400.

but i need a new cable to be compatible with this new phone.

nope, all you need is BITPIM

and a phone that it supports and the data cable.

get it on ebay for around 7 bucks shipped. radioshack is usually 20+ and verizon sells cables for 40+. i use bitpim. I think the cables for the vx8100/8000/7000/6100 are the same

yeah, i have been searching around different cell forums and that seems to be the case.

Oh, you just need Mobile Phone Tools and a data cable for that phone, no need to hack it. Its only the Verizon Motorola phones that need to be hacked.

you can get the data cable on ebay for cheap. Mobile Phone Tools is a little harder to come by. I think it costs about $50 or so.
