I have a desktop now that can play somewhat modern games. I am going to do some more upgrades over the rest of the year, but I have some questions about modern gaming in general.
I like adventure games, so what do you recommend?
I have a very low bandwidth per month cap since I am using Verizon wireless as my broadband provider. Having said this I have a laptop that I could download games off the Internet and transfer them to my desktop if that were possible? Is it possible to do this without doing something I shouldn't? Is there any service out there that I could do it with? My laptop is a few years old and I can't run hardly any games on it. So I would have to download the games from a WIFI hotspot and transfer them.
So far I just buy the disks and install them that way. Which is the way I learned to buy games, but i was wondering if there was a better way? I live in the middle of nowhere and besides ordering games with disks off the Internet, I don't really have access to stores with a lot of PC-Games.
Hope I am not asking something I am not supposed to.
Also games I like and would want to play something similar to, but am unsure where to start looking. So I am asking for advice on what types of games I should try?
First off, I have Mass Effect 2 and love it. So I would be interested in more games like this. Know any?
Tomb Raider: Anniversary Also earlier versions are good.
Need For Speed:Carbon
I don't like RTS games.
I bought Fallout 3 today, and just got STALKER SOC about 2 months ago, but haven't played them yet. So I don't know how they will be.
I kinda like UT3.
I don't mind dl add on content for games, or patches, but dl games from home is undo-able.
System specs:
AMD Phenom II X2 550 (one extra core unlocked, so 3 cores)
ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO
2 GB ram 1333 )will upgrade to 4 or 6 GB in the next couple months.
XTX 4670 1GB Will upgrade probably at the end of the year.
WD IDE 7200 rpm 320 GB drive
LiteON DVD SATA (haven't got this yet will be in the next couple days)
Thank you for helping me in advance. I never was a hard core gamer, but have a lot of free time on my hands these days.
