Need sound & video for budget system. Built-in network & AGP slot is a plus. I prefer SIS but any chipset will do.

thanks:)

Intel makes the D815EEA2L integrated everything, with AGP slot
Stable stable stable.

Wow, Plester that's one powerful mini workstation!;) Is that a low profile Asus 64mb V7100?

optimistic - just a standard V7100 w/ a bracket from an old trident vid card bent to fit.

my goal was the smallest, quietest, fastest rig that could do it all at a very reasonable cost. a P4 1.6A at 2.1ghz+ and the mysterious oem radeon 7500 that is never in stock at newegg would let this little setup realize it fullest potential.

optimistic I too recommend this series board, onboard sound is actually pretty good, and the onboard video is ok at the 133FSB/133mem(will soon have to add an ASUS v7100 like in Plester's rig). Plester nice rig :)...I'm running the older MX3S(found it in a local dealers bargain bin dirt cheap) with a Celeron 800 @ 1066. What modem are you using? I'm using a similar H340case.

modem is just a cheap conextant based winmodem, bent the bracket - easy mod. the aopen boards aren't the most tweakable - no vcore adj. - but super stable.
