I'm looking for *dead* silent 80mm fans and a powersupply

I've decided against my better judgement to go ahead and crank up my Linux system. It's a dual 2800MP setup. The problem is that its fans and PSU are *really* loud. Annoyingly loud.

I need some good 80mm fans that are really quiet (like less than 15db) and a PSU that is either fanless or also extremely quiet.

Any recommendations?

people recommended me a seasonic PSU for quiet operation. Wish i would have gone with them before i bought my FSP. FSP is quiet at idle but thats about it

Seasonic for dead silent PSUs, for sure. You can also look at Corsair PSUs as they are rebranded Seasonics.

You don't mention which case you're using.

The case is a Codegen S-201. The fans that I need to replace are for the CPUs themselves. They don't have to be too powerful, just really quiet. The design of the heatsinks I'm using will only allow me to use 80mm fans.

On my Dual P3 machine which used 60mm fans i put one 120mm fan, hot glued two corners and it runs more quite and cooler. Just a though from personal experience 🙂
