i need to be able to take it from school and back

the problem is that the schools PCs have SO many restrictions (or programs that apply them)

these take up so much ram on these and when u run an IDE the PC crashes

now we writing them in notepad and taking them to the teachers laptop to compile, this is annoying.

so i just need a box that i can run an IDE on...

thanks a lot!!!

btw system specs on the PCs :

Pentium 4 2.88 GHz
2 or 1gb ram
windows xp pro sp2
Intel video
i don't know much more, can get into any thing....

Thanks a Lot!

The 800mhz one is one of the cheapest models and takes DDR226 ram (you can also use DDR333 or DDR400). The motherboard/proc and case/power supply will run about $200, depending on what case you choose. You will also need ram and a hard drive, or a CompactFlash card plus CF to IDE adapter. If you want a CD drive, Logic Supply has used slimline CD-ROMs for about $25. If you poke around on the FS forums here you can probably find a pretty good deal on used ram. I'd say about $300 with shipping if you do some shopping.

Yes to all of the above. The Mini-ITX boards are completely integrated. All you do is drop them in the case then plug in the ram, hard drive, and CD drive. Cake :)
