I'm looking for a physical knob to control volume in a PC

I want a physical knob of sorts to control the volume of a Windows PC, the hook up can be USB or some standard interface that can be connected internally on a motherboard.

On my keyboard for example, it has a volume knob that works with no software, it will turn up and down the system volume, I need something like this but just a knob only.

Volume adjustment is handled in software. Even if you didn't install a driver for your keyboard, Windows is interpreting the signal. I can't see anyone creating a USB device with the requisite programming code just to control sound - tons of keyboards have "CD Player"-style controls on them already.

How about this:

It can also do more then just volume control.

I've seen that one before and that's all I've ever found, but it's to be and cumberson for what I want.

This is the one on my keyboard. I'd love to have a volume control that's that size roughly but by itself.

Another pic for scale.

The Dell Enhanced Multimedia Keyboard. 😀

That's what I use, and really like it.

I have a volume dial on my Logitech cordless keyboard as well and have grown accustomed to it. I haven't seen any other standalone volume knobs other then the Griffin tho.
