I'm looking for a BF2 clan.

I'm thinking of joining a clan in BF2. The woman is now taking night classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the immediate future, so I have some free time that I'd like to devote to more rewarding multiplayer gaming. This clan has to be a casual clan, not set up like the army where you have to be on certain servers at certain times or you're out. I just want to be a squad member who can help out a team. I want to be able to play when I want to most of the time, and hopefully have certain dates and times where everyone shows up if they can to play as a big team. I'm hoping to join a clan who doesn't have some kind of gimmick (like the XMen one founded here), and hopefully to join a clan who possibly has their own server rented. I don't mind a small fee to help keep things running.

Anyone got any suggestions for me?

While I know of some I'm afraid they might not ping well for you. Also while there moderated pretty well during clan meets. There not at other times and the play is much as any other public server. If you want I can look them up but there east coast. They may be Virginia servers but I'm not sure. They ping good for me in Ohio though. Its a good idea and I feel much the same. It's a good game but playing on pubs is not my idea of a good time. If you want to start something count me in and if you find something post it here as I may well join you.

If you're in Ohio, and the Virginia servers ping good for you, then my being in Kentucky should make them ping well for me also :).

As far as starting a new clan, this I wouldn't mind at all doing that. The only setback is getting a decent set of players to join up and play regularly. If anyone is interested in doing something like that, let me know. Otherwise, luigi, I'm going to be on the lookout the next couple of days, and we'll keep in touch. If anyone else is interested in starting a new clan, we could look into it.

Ok, I dug it up. The server name is -UGHQ-. Server ip is 205.234.218.76 They have a web page with forums at www.ughq.com. I believe they will kick to make space for contributing members. And I also think there requiting. Its a 60 man ranked server. When there not doing clan stuff its really just another public server. The game play has allways been real fluid for me and the pings are low for me. YMMV of course.
