11am - 5pm PST (Alaska time) ... what range is that EST (Ohio) time?

I think in two time zones most of the time since my g/f is EST while I'm PST. I mix times in the same sentence, makes perfect sense in my mind but confuses the hell out of the people around me.

ok, for reference, Alaska time is 1 hour behind PST. so actually 11-5 Alaska would be 3-9 EST

hey, it wasn't my decision. rumor has it, they made it like that cause all the old people (read: retirees) couldn't figure out how to set their clocks forward and back.

(besides, who wants an extra hour of sunlight in the afternoon when it is 110* out? 😉)
