I'm just too sexy for my new Enlight 7237.........

I mean drill or cut the plastic bottom on the bezel where you can't normally see it. Taller feet on the case are a must for this to do any good.

I wouldn't bother drilling the tray and right side panel.

Jhhnn, how do the side panel vents reduce noise? i was gonna add a sorta "L" shaped window and remove the vents all together is this a bad idea ??

thanks stanger

The more open the case, the less you need noisy powerful fans to overcome airflow restriction to get proper cooling. Quieter fans can be used. Galileo seems to want to use as few fans as possible, ducting the processor sink to the rear exhaust fan. That exhausted air has to come from somewhere, leaving the slots open allows some of it to flow in thru them.

If you're going to the trouble of installing a window, then opening up the front bezel a lot and putting an intake fan there will easily overcome the loss of the slots. That fan will make some noise, of course.

Galileo,

Don't know if you ever heard from enlight, but I called them today about getting a new bezel for the 7237 that I got last night from Onvia. They don't have all of them in stock (7234 is OOS), but the ones the have are $4-$8, I don't know about shipping. But, I thinking about the 7233-c since the 7234 is oos. I'll let you know what happens.

Thanks. I'm glad you called them. No response to my email yet.

Prices seems reasonable, specially for someone who needs a new bazel for messing up the first one.

Please post if you get any more info.

Could you give me the phone number you called? Thanks.

Got another update. They are out of the 7234 and 7233d, but they do have the 7233c (similar to the 7234) and the 7238, those are the only models I checked. The 2 in stock are $8 each, plus were about $5 for shipping and $3 for handling to my location (cincinnati). So, total is about $16. Can't decide if I am going to go for it or not.

I now know, though, what you are talking about with the bezel. I knew basically what it looked like from pictures, but I opened the box last night, and I guess the pictures just don't do it justice. ;( It just looked so blah sitting there in front of me, I was actually a bit disappointed.

Problem is, though, can't paint it, and drilling out the holes seems like it will merely make it worse. Guess I am leaning toward buying a new bezel, but don't know which one (probably the 7233c). I like the 7238, but doesn't look like much as far as cooling goes.

Oh, BTW, the number I called is 562-781-9898. That is answered by a receptionist, and you have to ask for customer service. If there is an 800 number, or a direct CS number, I couldn't find it.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the update and the phone number.

I tried calling customer service and even sales but got put on hold too long everytime. Seeing that they're out of the 7234, I won't bother ordering another bezel. If I mess this one up badly, I'd get the 7233d or the 7233b if they're available.

I saw a link here on someone's post where the holes on the 7237 bezel were enlarged to what looks like .25 inch or maybe a little larger. They really made the case stand out a lot better. That's what I'm going to do using Sidetrackers' method. I couldn't find that link again to show you. Sorry.

That's my impression with this case exactly- it's photogenic. It needs some caffein. But it's a very nice case.

Good luck with your choice. Feel free to give updates on what you're doing. If I mess this one up totally, I'll post it here for some sympathy 🙂 .
