Why isn't there a separation for different programming languages on this forum?

1) Not enough interest in all of the different programming languages.

2) Programming languages are similar enough that concepts from one apply to all (most) of the others.

Why should there be? This isn't a forum(Anandtech) dedicate to only programming and there are far to many programming languages. You would have something like 20 subforums with activity in only 5.

It's not needed and I don't know what your argument would be to support that need.

Well, that's just not true. Newbies always have all kind of language-specific misunderstandings. Is that an only-professionals-allowed forum?

I don't understand your question. The answers you were given above are correct. AT is primarily a hardware forum, and this is just a small corner of it devoted to programming in general.

you create separate sections when there are too many threads in the main section. there's barely any activity on this section. just tag or prefix your topic with the language if that helps.
