I think it's a silly and ineffective ad, but it caught my attention for one reason:
Is anyone else here old enough to remember the old TV panel show, What's My Line? That's what the new campaign ad made me think of:

"I'm Joe, the Plumber"

"I'm Joe, the Plumber"

"I'm Joe, the Plumber"

Then they sit down with the panel and play 20 questions until the panel guesses which one really is "Joe".

It's too bad that "Joe the Plumber" didn't appear earlier because he could have been featured as a character in <<Not supposed to mention this here>>>.

I think a carpenter would be more apropos...
