If I could figure out what you are trying to say I would tell you that you do not understand probability because it's not the same as odds.

The probability of losing 17 times in a row is (2/3)^17 which is .0010149592

What's so hard to understand about my post? besides the loose terminology, it's pretty straightfoward.

That makes more sense. I just never, EVAR heard say "better" when the mean "times". And I got confused when you said odds and he was talkin prob. But yes, yes you are right( as long as odds=prob and better=times)

Probability of *losing* 17 times in a row is (2/3) ^ 17
(just got done doing too many coin probability problems with 1/2 probabilities with my sophomores)

(2/3)^17 = 131072/129,140,163 Forgot about my numerator! Ooops!

So, yeah, more like 1 in 1000.
