20 Webcam: Logitech HD Pro C910
21 Sound Card: Not planning to buy one - do i need one
22 Speakers : Undecided - Planning to check out the built in speakers on the monitor before I buy one, but almost sure I would end up buying a 2.1 setup.

All the items in bold and colored red are the ones to be bought yet, any advice suggestions on any of those , especially the GPU, would be greatly appreciated.

Few in my consideration set are the following:

XFX Radeon HD 6870 Black Edition
Zotac ZT-50303-10M GTX 560 Ti Overclocked 1024MB GDDR5 PCIe 2.0 x16 Video Card
EVGA GTX 560-Ti (Standard & OC Versions)
EVGA 01G-P3-1366-TR NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 SE 1024MB GDDR5 PCIe 2.0 x16 Video Card (mainly for the software bundle that comes with it)
HD Radeon 6950 (no brands picked yet)

Does the GTX 560 Ti have considerably better performance than the HD 6870 to justify the higher price?

Also on the other Red color coded components please feel free to suggest, comment or mention any great deals that you know about!

Thanks in advance for all your help! Please suggest brand names and models you would recommend with links if possible! (not being demanding just want to make sure I am looking at the right variant within a brand).

I think the 6870 has a much better bang for the buck but thats not to say the 560 ti is not a very good price to performance ratio too. But with how cheap it seems 6870's can be had now I think thats your best bet. For just occasional gaming I think it will serve you very well.

I have had really good luck with a the 4 XFX Black Edition 6850's that I have bought for various build I would imagine the 6870's would be no different. As far as brand/model I think thats a good bet.

the performace of 560Ti is better then 6870 but higher power consuming~ I think I will choose 560Ti for overclocking and performace. you can consider Gigabyte for the great cooling and good fans design.

The 560ti is a bit faster than the 6870 but slower than the 6950. It's probably closer to the 6950 than 6870 though. That said, the 6870 should have plenty of oomph for what you are describing. There have been some cheap deals on the 560 ti around though, making the card more attractive than usual, if you can find a good deal.

6950 if you get a good deal, otherwise get the 560Ti. Either will generally OC very well.

I would go for the 6870. It is in the price range, and the few extra FPS doesnt justify paying $30 more for a 560 ti.

Look at the games you want to play. The 560 Ti will tend to win out on DX11 games, the Radeons of equivalent price tend to win out on DX9. I went for the Nvidia card because I'm expecting to use my system for a while and as such expect more and more of the games I want to play to be DX11 titles, but YMMV.
