Watching a special about the Yankees playing the world series after 9/11.. oh god,it all comes flooding back.

I had the same feeling after watching a documentary on 9/11 by the 2 french brothers who did the videotaping...absolutely amazing and it made me hate the world for a day...

I just saw it to... HBO right ? I was sad for the people who used the game to remember lost loved ones... but I really don't care about the Yankees losing the thing... they had already won 3.

I don't think I'll ever 'understand' and 'get over' 911. I mean it doesn't bother me on a daily basis, but reminders of it make me sad. Video of the collapsing towers is still just unbelievable.

Yeah HBO... and it doesn't get any more "American" than a Yankee's game.

I concur 🙁

I think we Americans as a whole should move on. Crying about the past would only hinder our growth. I am in no way saying we should forget, we should ALWAYS remember. It is essential to remember to not only respect those who lost their lives, but to learn from it to better ourselves as a nation and make sure this doesn't happen again.

I live in NY and I still freak out everytime I can hear a low flying plane, which these days seems to happen more often.

The game where Bush throws out the first pitch and the crowd goes NUTZ?

It was a strike... I went nuts. Throwing a strike for a single pitch on a baseball mound in front of a crowd that huge really surprised me. I've never once seen a 'first-pitch' strike until that one..
