You need to check out Red Bull Illume, starts tonight in Portland, one of three cities worldwide to have the show. Red Bull Illume Exhibit August 2-12, 2007. Beginning in historic Pioneer Courthouse Square, the exhibit will line the downtown streets, creating an awe-inspiring urban gallery. http://www.redbullillume.com from what I understand, it's a must see.

I remember reading that in wikipedia that Portland has a higher # of strip clubs per capita than SF and Vegas. It's also creepy to see a guy alone by himself visiting a strip club.

Oh yeah, it's all true as moogle pointed out in his post. Depends on what you're looking to do though. There's actually not a whole lot to do as far as attractions are concerned but if you're into the night life there's definitely more than strip clubs in PDX. Just start walking but if you end up in Killingsworth you've gone too far and you better look over your shoulder, a lot.

Nope, I just got out of the Navy and landed a job at Hynix.

Actually, it is probably because I was in the Navy for 9 years that I havent gone and debauched myself in Portland.
Once you've done it in Italy, Palma, Malta, Greece, Isreal, and Spain, Portland just seems so...... lame?
