Chillin' out next to the pool at the DoubleTree Resort. This is niiiiice. My wife and I have a 9am massage lined up, then a tour of the falls, then reservations for Buchanan's Chop house in the evening.

It's good to be the king ;)

tourists in the falls are great. as long as we can confine them towards clifton hill then they can't bother the residents who have day jobs.

I stayed at the Marriott when I went there, really memorable vacation. Take the 1-2 hour drive and head out to Toronto if you've never been there, get a picture at the CN Tower.

My only question is, if you are at the Falls, what on earth are you doing posting on ATOT? Get off the computer!.

Nice! The hotels like Doubletree and the like over there are always nice and romantic!
Get some strawberries and wine/champagne sent to your room after dinner!!!

OK, the falls were..well..ok. The hotel we were at was really nice, but it was surrounded by slums and abandoned houses...really weird for the class of hotel we were in. There seems to be a mixture of crappy/fantasic all around the falls. I couldn't understand it.

Also, the fact that it costs $12 (US) for a lousy parking space sucks. We ended up walking everywhere (our room had even had a decent falls view). Not sure I'd go back any time soon.

Right now in in New York City. First time here, and here's my impression of driving in to Times Square:

"Oh...look! The Lincoln Tunnel! Neat! Wow...traffic's a bit congested here. No biggie. OK, there's the sign to Times Square. GAAAAAHHH!!!!! AGGGH!!!!! OHMYGODWE'REGONNADIE!!!hOLYOFTHEHOLIESTHELLSGAHHHHHHHAAAAGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..
.ahhh..there's our hotel."

I was MORE than happy to give the valet my keys and have him do something with my car for two days. I'm not sure where it is right now...I just know it's going to reappear when I call tomorrow, and I'm going to need medication to get back on a NYC street :(

Haha... I've lived in NJ my whole life (except for college) and I've never driven in NYC. I take the train.

But why? It's just a tower. If you do, beware of Scarlem. And the West side(I almost got mugged for my PSP 2 years ago in the West side).
