I just got in my Dell 24" LCD today and OMG!!!! This dude is huge!!!! I think I will be taking it to bed tonight and will be sending the wife to the couch!!!!

thought I would share..... highly recommend if it is close to budget.

Very nice.

I personally don't like WS monitors, but i am looking into a nice 1600x1200 20 or 21" 🙂
 
you know I was a little unsure of it as well. I even thought it may "stretch" a little, but that isn't the case. It is like having my 2 old 19" CRTS, but on one screen. I am a big fan of the wide screen now.

Before you make the investment try to fine both LCDs to look at. I found some at Compusa, a couple traditional Veiwsonics and the Samsung 243. When I looked I went for the WS right of the bat, they where just so ........ big. Plus with the Samsung coming in at $1700. it made me feel alot better about my Dell purchase (~900).

No, that is actually my wife's. I just keep it back on my desk incase I need to use a strait edge. It being three sided, it is so much easier to pick up..... I can on read one side of it.

I can not comment on that, I can say this one is 12 3/4 inches tall. If we can have someone with a 2001 measure their's, we can find out.

Only 12 3/4?? The 2001FP that I have is 13 7/8, but the actual screen is 11 7/8. So I guess the 24inch is just really wide?
 
can you get any pics of your monitor while in a game? I'm really interested to see what it looks like....also you dont have a tv tuner do ya? I wonder what TV looks like as well 🙂
