Hey all, I finally was able to get my password from dist.net :) I am pretty excited! So, thanks all for the help. One final question, should I be crunching soley RC5, or should I do both RC5 and OGR??? Thus far, I have minimal stats in each category... Gotta love TA!!!!!!!!! Go Team! :)

Welcome to the TeAm!! :):D

You will have better Stats if you focus one one project (easy for me to say!) Usually a person that has picked RC5 only does OGR when they cannot get new blocks. Then at least your system is not idle or crunching Randoms. But, it is your choice! I have some older Cellies that I am using for RC5, but my main project is SETI. When they released a new version of SETI recently it prompted me to move the slower boxes.

Rchala,
Welcome to Team Anandtech! :D

All TA projects could use help, so it becomes a personal preference. I would suggest RC5 as we are trying to regain the #1 spot back from the DPCs, but we are also being threatened by a DPC presence in OGR too. And we would like to move up in SETI...

You might want to do some research on this forum, as some PCs are better suited (more efficient) for some projects than others.

Welcome to the Team, rchala! :) Lots of people have jumped in to help lately, which is great. Now if you enjoy keeping track of your output, the once-a-day stats update is something you look forward to. Well, we have a Team proxy that has stats updates every 15 minutes! :) If you are already familiar with the client's Configuration menu, just go in and set it to "no" in "Automatically select a distributed.net keyserver?" and then set proxy.teamanandtech.com as the keyserver. Then you will be able to find your stats here, at the next update after you flush through the Team proxy:

RC5 fullstats, updated on :15 and :45
OGR fullstats, updated on :10 and :40
RC5 weekstats, updated on :00 and :30
OGR weekstats, updated on :25 and :55

Your blocks still credit to you at Distributed.net, the proxy just counts heads as they pass through.

You can get live help from your friendly teammates on the Team IRC channel; it's channel #teamanandtech on irc.teamanandtech.com. If you're not familiar with IRC chat, it's a typed conversation. You see a list of people logged on and their name appears in front of what they say. Go here and head all the way to the bottom of the page for the easy-to-use Java client, or download mIRC from www.mirc.com. The IRC channel is also where we get together for some UT, Q3A or CS, and we have a dedicated game server on an ISP's "pipe" too. Drop by sometime. :)

You can also get very speedy help here on the Forum, just post if you have troubles. :) Welcome to the Team!!
