I never really care much for Apple product since the Apple II, but twice recently they proved me wrong.

1. On the 8 of Dec evening I called Apple to order an ipod nano for my niece and the sales person was very pleasant to talked to.

2. Dec 14, the ipod delivered to my door.

Dec 10, Shipment information sent to FedEx, Picked up SHENZHEN CN
Dec 11, Arrived at FedEx location, ANCHORAGE, AK
Dec 12, Arrived at FedEx location, MEMPHIS, TN
Dec 14, AMAt dest sort facility, VANCOUVER, BC
Dec 14, AMAt local FedEx facility, SIDNEY, BC
Dec 14, Delivered, VICTORIA, BC

Apple +2 : iGas 0

I have sent things over seas in the past (air service), and it normally take any where from 2~7 weeks to get there. And, Apple amazed me by moving it from China-US-Canada to me in 5 days.

I get stuff from Sweden all the time within 5days, no Apple required. UK is generally a touch longer, taking around 7 days.

Yes, Apple shipped it.

And, yes I'm impressed by FedEx as well.
But...you're more impressed by Apple...because FedEx shipped a product from Shen Zhen to Victoria in 4 days...?

Steve Jobs' magic that is added by Chinese workers to each apple product rubbed off onto Fedex and made them deliver his ipod so fast.

Boeing makes some of the planes that allowed Fedex to fully deploy that magic.

And the pilot, he was at 100% after a complete breakfast.

Thank Breakfast!

Music is the magic that makes the world go round. The iPod flew to you so fast because there was a lack of music, a vacuum the iPod came to fill.

I'm not a huge fan of Apple's products, and I hate their software, but I do like that they contribute to the american israel political action committee. You're a fan too, right iGas?

Sorry, my bad.

Eh, I shouldn't be making fun. I feel like over half of my recent posts have had some sort of obvious error. I blame being tired and being too lazy to proof read.

We have these two companies called FedEx and UPS.. They deliver packages around the world..

They have two main levels of international service:

UPS Worldwide Expedited, which is a 3-5 day service
UPS Worldwide Saver, which is a 1-3 day service
FedEx International Economy, which is a 3-5 day service
FedEx International Priority, which is a 1-3 day service

At work, we have factories in China, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, India, Argentina, etc.. and we operate with a very tight timeline. We rely on these guarantees, both sending and receiving, on nearly a daily basis. If our shit isn't there by 10:30AM on the 3rd or 5th day its due, depending on the service, the shipment is free(unless the delay is due to custom's issues).

Edit: Ah, I didn't realize that you mentioned FedEx in your original post. If they had used UPS, and they sent it via WorldEase so it went through Kentucky instead of Alaska, you probably would have gotten it a day earlier. ;)

I'm extremely impressed with the fact that you are unimpressed with him being quite impressed that Olds is not impressed that the OP is impressed.
