I'm having weird dreams

I had this dream 3 times. I don't know how to explain this but I'll try.

I wake up in my dream and I'm on my bed but I can't move any part of my body. I'm their trying my hardest to my move my arms but it won't move. And sometimes I might have a glimpse at the window. To see if it's it's dark outside(in my dream). The weird part of this whole thing is that im dreaming it like if it was real. Like on the second dream. I saw my mom walking by my door. So when I woke up, I asked my mom if she walked by my door. She said yes. So it's the same time and the same minute in real life. If it's dark outside in my dream, in real life it's the same thing. It's also dark. It felt like I was about to die or something. 🙁

At school I heard some people having the same dream. Have you ever had this kind of dream before? Do you know what it mean?

On my first dream, I had a long piece of paper stuck to me and it went on to the closet. It had some weird writing on it.

Those aren't really dreams per se. I believe you are experiencing sleep paralysis as some have already suggested.

Basically when your body goes to sleep, it is semi paralyzed for safety reasons so that you don't act out your dreams or anything.

Sometimes your mind will wake up but your body won't, thus you can see, kinda hear, breath, think, etc, but just can't move a damn muscle.

I've had it a few times before and it's really frightening at first, but after a few I got used to it and came up with a way for me to break the paralysis.

I would count to 3 in my head and at that moment, I would jerk my body with all the strength that I had. Usually this would let my arm move or something and once a muscle moves, the sleep paralysis is over.

It's sleep paralysis. You were awake, not sleeping.

But where did that long paper come from? And I didn't go to a party or anything like that.

But how about that long piece of paper that was on me with a weird writing on it?
It was very long and when it reached the closet, it had a big box that the paper when into.

maybe that was from half-awakeness ie you were still dreaming somehwat

but the other things you described seem typical of sleep paralysis. it's fairly normal and nothing to worry about though.

Whew! This happened to me a couple of times (no flying papers though, heh) and I nearly shit a brick, I always thought it was a dream
