Now that I have a better scope of things, I can probably address my question a little better. A few days ago, I tried installing windows 2k on my computer. I formatted, and did a dos install. I booted up my computer with a win98 boot disk, ran "smartdrv" from the win98 cd, switched back to the 2k cd and started the install process by typing "winnt." The setup goes through well in while undergoing the dos portion, but once it hits the GUI portion, I start having problems. The computer will constantly and continuously reboot. No way to stop the rebooting process unless I stick the book disk in and prevent the win2k splash screen from coming up. I have also tried removing my network card and sound card and installing 2k with the bare minimum - no luck. So, as of today, my computer still reboots over and over again. Can someone please shine some light on this subject and help me fix my computer?
Oh, and btw, I read that win2k has a problem with kt7 boards? I have a kt7 board. If this is the case, what would I have to do in order to install 2k?
