My rig

E7200 Core 2 duo 2.53ghz oc'd to 3.8ghz
CrossfireX Ati hd 4870's at 1gb a piece
4 Gb kingston Mushkin 5-5-5
P5q pro turbo mobo
Vendetta 2 120mm Cooler
In an Antec 900
Running Windows XP Home

When I first started playing crysis warhead I was getting on average 30 fps with highs of mid 70's and lows of 10! At the time I was running my cpu stock at 2.53ghz and a few people had suggested that it was my cpu that was creating a severe bottle kneck. Upon overclocking the cpu to 3.8ghz where it is currently sitting I have not seen any improvement in the fps.

p.s. I'm running the game on the second highest settings across the board(gamer) with 4xAA

Any help is much appreciated.

2nd highest setting? So gamer settings? What resolution?

Crysis is not CPU limited with core 2 duo. It's GPU lmited. 30fps in warhead with 4870 sounds normal to me.

Yeah, raising your CPU might have helped. It didn't. Sorry to say that Crysis is a pretty bad mofo to run. It's not yourhardware dood.... its the game.

4870 crossfire should have no problems what so ever running the game on gamer with AA. A single 4870 can run the game perfectly fine on gamer without AA. Something's wrong somewhere, it's not normal.

Ok to say the least you MIGHT be running a little low. However,

http://www.hardwarecanucks.com...formance-review-9.html

Yes, these are 512's but i only looked up one review. I dont know what reso you are playing on, but it makes a diff. Your looking at a min of 30fps is what you SHOULD be getting. And thats a 1920x1080 w/o AA.

But before we can go further, we need more system info.
