I'm having problems with Detonator 21.83 drivers

A week after installing this PowerColor GF2 GTS, I've been crashing regularly doing basic 2D stuff. Like surfing the web. Games don't crash except in Battlenet I get occasionaly lines of fuzzyness but it disappears. I'm using the Detonator drives 21.83 direct from NVIDIA site. I'm not sure if their WHQL certified. My friend says I need WHQL 21.83 drivers.

Can I use 23.11 instead of 21.83, scince it's giving me these problems? Or can anyone suggest another detonator driver I can try out?

There's nothing wrong with nVidia's drivers - if you're having serious problems like crashing 99% of the time it's related to something completely different.

Check the basics like no overclocking, latest BIOS, latest chipset drivers and latest game patches and don't tweak your BIOS too agressively.

The GeForce FAQ has plenty of other excellent advice.

Maybe I crash like 10% of the time. Not overclocking the CPU. I have KT266a board with Via4in1 4.37a installed. Memory is the only thing that's set aggressively. But I never had problems with a GF2 MX 200 installed or a 3D prophet 4500(KyroII) card installed).

I ran 21.83 with the MX.
