I'm thinking about doing the slide side-to-side trick or if I should just go back up and wipe again.

Honestly, how could you forget? I get the toilet paper ready right before I get up. This IS one of the things you have done once or twice a day your entire life.

Not wiping enough is another issue in itself. Side to side just makes a mess...
