I'm only able to find like 3 retail 2.5" Seagate drives. I have two problems at the moment.
1. I need a 2.5" as the 100GB I bought at frys for $140 (7200RPM) isn't compatible with the laptop I put it in, I mean it works but the bios freezes soon as you enter it. I found out the computer has some odd 64GB size limit and because I paid so much for this drive, I thought I mind as well get a 40GB or 60GB drive. Problem is, I can't find one online for a decent price. (Do they make 7200RPM 40GB/60GB seagate drives?)
2. I need an imaging software that will run directly from a bootable CD, I have the 'ultimate boot cd' program but I can't find the programs that let me do an exact image of the drive (I mean copying stuff like the MFT, etc.) I don't want to use acronis image because I don't have any room on my computer to install such programs nor the money so I'm looking for a free utility. The utility needs to be OS independent as I don't have a 3rd drive in the system, just two drives from which the data is being copied over and a CDROM drive.
