I'm having a steak for dinner

ive had it when i grilled myself a steak and had some leftover spaghetti left and it didnt go well to me.

but there are no rules to side dishes so do as you will.

personally i think it is a negatory captain

Doesn't seem like it would really go together to me but actually at a local restaurant here you can order a steak dinner, and for a side you have a choice of fries, baked potato, etc, as well as pasta with alfredo sauce or speghetti sauce.

Some Garlic toast would work out great with a steak. Along with some steamed or sauteed veggies.

My wife gets mad at me..I really like her spaghetti, but I have a thing about having some type meat with my meal.
So I always grill a steak when we have Spaghetti for dinner. It drives her crazy

thats alot of food. Usually when I have steak that's all I'll have. Just the steak grilled to perfection. No side dishes to distract my taste buds from the flavor of the steak.And anyway I like to get large porterhouse steaks and eat the whole thing.

Steak w/a side of pasta topped with butter and grated parmesan is the good.

Steak w/a side of spaghetti topped with marinara is the bad.

Both are in there and it is delicious, but I dont consider them separate from the spaghetti..

I know.. it doesnt make sense..

I'd either make some kind of beef-based pasta sauce from the steak, or just have the steak with potatoes or rice or something, the ogic being that steak sauces (BBQ, honey and soy sauce, etc) do not go with pasta.

Why don't you add ground beef, sausage, etc to it?

Personally I like doing chicken cutlets, and lightly, very lightly breadding them and pan fry it and add some cheese to it - but i always make meat sauce not marinara sauce.
