I'm having a REALLY hard time getting it in.

HA, made you look!

So I bought a sliding rear window for my truck and decided to install it today. I got the old one out OK. (Using bicycle tire levers...WORKED GREAT) But I'm having a hell of a time putting the new one in. I soaped everything up real well with dish soap and I have tools for doing this kind of thing. I have done several windows in VW's before and this doesn't look all that differant. Anyone have any tricks? Anyone here very installed a sliding rear window? (It's Nissan Hard body P/U)

Ban.

Hahaha. Karma got you for submitting so many nef threads in your lifetime. Now, the window won't install right. 😉

Yeah, I guess that's it. 😱

It got dark, so I'll give it another go in the morning.

Forget the crappy sliding window, use a bit of duct tape, and some plastic wrap. If you want more air flow, just poke holes in the plastic. Just tell people it reduces weight. Plus you'll get lots of comments on how great it looks from the ricers.

String is your friend, Brutuskend.

Yeah, thats how I used to do VW windows.

Thought I could do a short cut.

Guess I'll have to dig up some nylon string in the morning.

(Thanks for making me look stupid HP. 😉 )

I was about to say! Thank god someone understands!!! I've been using the KY but she still whimpers like a school girl every time!!!

I turned it this way and I turned it THAT way. I lubed it up and I twisted and I pried and in the end I banged the HELL out of it.

But I GOT IT IN! 🙂
