The federal government thinks it interferes with the expression of its power, hence the lawsuit.

You have already answered your question for yourself and just opened this thread to announce to the world that you think the government is crazy. But actually, because you hate yourself you were just looking for validation and support.

Now imagine that the politicians and other voters are just as crazy as you, all seeking support and validation in a culture whose needs are all over the map. I think you will find those politicians carving up and supporting those interests that best represents what they think is a majority. That will mean that whatever insanity the majority of politicians deem to garner the most votes will be the policy. This will look completely insane to the folk with a different opinion.

So obviously, your misery is the result of your insanity being out of sync with the majority and that's easy to fix. Just change your opinion and be happy.
