I just received this monitor today from Newegg, got it for $209 shipped. I'm trying to determin if the issue is my inability to properly adjust it, or if it's the monitor itself.
I've been using LCD's at work for a while now. I write code so I view a lot of text. But I haven't seen anything like this except in the early LCD's.
The problem is that it seems like every other inch and a half text reproduction is crap. It's like a zebra effect. For a half inch it looks fine, nice and sharp, and for the next half inch the text is "fat", and it just repeats itself back and forth across the screen from one side to the other.
Another problem is that colors don't seem to shade too well. It's either super bright, or ultra dark. I can't seem to get anything in between.
I've tried playing with the video card's gamma, brightness, and contrast settings in addition to fiddling with all the monitor's settings and I just can't seem to smooth it out at all.
Can anybody pass along any useful advice? Thanks!
