On this issue my mother. However I'm emotionally closer to my father. We are on the same wave length almost all the time and we are intellectualy very similar. My mother is the logical harsh type, my father the impossible dreamer. I'm in the middle. My mother dies spend money on food, eating out, and a few other things but otherwise she won't spend a dime more than is necessary. She can't even bring herself to spend money on herself to make herself happy. My father is the opposite and doesn't know the meaning of the word savings. all he does with his money is spend it on toys and other things. although he is more than willing to spend it on something for all of us or my mother if she would ever let him. But he has a completely unrealistic view of the future. He is 64 and has no savings at all and is now looking to buy this property. He plans to only pay the interest on the loan and never touch the actual loan then maybe sell the thing some time down the road.

Also sometimes just getting off these forums is just what you need. Yes, even with the good advices here, cooping up indoors doesn't do you good. I'm also personally convinced that internet is where... (statistically) more socially-inept people come out and spew their poison and generally act loud on the forums. Stay away from it.

Go outside... try meetup.com for various hobbies. They even have no-hobby just social drinking meets where a big group of people come out.

Things did get MUCH MUCH worse for a while there. Still not back to even where they were when I posted this thread but I'm feeling a bit better.
