Thank you for your help!

Looks good, I am not a fan of thermaltake PSU's though, too weak on the 12v rail for my taste.

I too am building a rig for the first time. Here are some suggestions i pass on to you:

People seem to agree socket 939 will have more staying power if you would want to upgrade. Although, with a 3400, you will probably not need to upgrade for years and by then you'll need a new mobo too. Im not sure, but i believe there are other benefits to a socket 939 board. The athlon 3500+ 939 is around $260.

Case: Doesn't seem to be anything too special about it, why not go with something cheaper? I just order the Antec Lanboy off Outpost.com for $50 with shipping, after rebate. Has 2 fans, aluminum, antec quality. Save some money!

Power Supply: Thermaltakes are highly rated on newegg, but dont get good remarks here. Again and again, people say: PC P&C, Enermax, Antec. Also: Fortron, Sparkle. Too weak on 12v rail.

what powersupply do you think i should get for between $60-70? Coolermaster has a decent one, but that's about $80, and the neopower is really nice, but that's $115!

I like the TT's style and airflow, so i'm keeping it with that.

Ahh... on newegg the Silver TT Tsunami with window is $100, while the black with window is $122...? Do you think i could still get the black for $100?

DFI? who the hell are they? maybe I've been out of the mobo game too long but I would stick with ASUS, MSI, or ABIT.

no, no $100 more!!!

as for Yossarian, DFI is a well established company. The DFI "Lanparty" UT nF3 board is the absolute best oc'ing board on the market today and has many features for us non overclockers.

I'd personally go with the 939 socket (Asus A8V or the MSI Neo PLat) with AMD 3500+. Or you could save a few bucks by getting the 3200+.

I'm itching to build one myself but i am waiting for the NF4 boards...hopefully coming out soon.
