Im gonna move to the west coast, where should I live?

Where should I move? I can move anywhere, wife wants to live north of San Diego, South of San Luis Obispo? We were gonna move to Hollywood Hills area, buts its to crowded and a little expensive, I was thinking around the Irvine area. What do you think is the best place to live in this area?

I wouldnt mind living there, but wife wants to move to a sunny and warm area.
 
I've lived in San Diego for the last 5 years and think it's pretty nice. If you want to live in North San Diego, then Del Mar or Encinitas are pretty nice. Close to the ocean and a little cheaper. I highly recommend taking up San Diegan activities if you move here (e.g. surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, etc...)
