Let my dog out after work today and after a few minutes noticed hear leash was way at the other end of her run and was pulled tight. This normally means there's a squirrel or neighbors dog or something out there so I went to look.

Nope. Just a leaf stuck in the snow and the wind blew it every so often. Only problem is she just couldn't quite get there.

It's all snow and the sun was gone so everything is blue tinted but oh well.

So of course I called her over and took off the leash and let her go pounce on it.

dave berry did a column a couple of weeks ago about why dogs are awesome. his basic point was that they are so stupid you can entertain yourself for hours messing with their minds ... and they'll still think you're the greatest thing since fire. sounds like more proof he's right ...

I bought my dad (amongst other things) a cheapo laser pointer for xmas. My parents have a large puppy (6 months? 9? I dunno) and hardwood floors.

Thing is I'm scared the dog will kill himself. You can have him go for hours and he won't stop. When you finally do it sounds like an 80 year old smoker breathing on the top of a mountain, yet he still begs for more. 🙂

She loves the snow. Just hates when chunks get stuck in her paws. THen she starts walking funny because she thinks something is stuck on there.
